Cost-down and Higher Efficiency Sinexcel Isuna Hybrid Inverter Replace UPS System in Data Centre Project


Recently, Sinexcel Isuna hybrid inverter- Isuna 6000S has been successfully applied to grid connection in the large-scale production base of a well-known listed company in China. This solution replaces the traditional UPS equipment, providing a solid guarantee for uninterruptible power supply while greatly saving space, reducing costs, achieving higher benefits by shaving peaks and filling valleys. Isuna 6000S helps the company to achieve a more efficient and economical power backup solution with the advantages of 5ms on/off-grid switch-over time, and easier power/battery capacity expansion with two sets of inverter&battery in parallel, which greatly protects the safety of data centre and core equipment.


Project Information


This project aims to enhance the power protection capability of the data centre, ensure business continuity and data integrity, and provide solid technical support for the long-term development of the enterprise. The project includes 4 inverters and four groups of batteries, with 2 inverters in parallel, total power of 24kW, while each set of battery is 15kWh, with total battery capacity of 60kwh. This can supply backup power for 3 hours.

Project Advantages

Compatibility


Isuna 6000S support 6 units in parallel, the maximum output power being up to 36kW. This function can make power expansion easier to flexibly meet the different power band, different scenarios of applications, whether it is a small office or a large-scale data centre, this is a suitable solution for you.

 

Cost-wise


Cost reduction: Compared with the high cost of traditional UPS system, system of Isuna 6000S achieve cost savings up to about 40%, and also avoid potential costs of future regular maintenance and battery replacement of traditional UPS equipment. In addition, it can also intelligently adjust the battery charging and discharging, according to the peak and valley electricity prices difference from grid system, help users to cut peaks and fill in the valleys, reduce electricity cost, and maximize the economic benefits.

 

Efficiency: While traditional UPS equipment are generally with 90% efficiency, while Isuna 6000S achieves a significant increase in efficiency to 98%, which means that the Isuna 6000S consumes less cost for the same power output, saving money on user’s electricity bills.

 

Product Features

Adaptability

On/off-grid switch-over time of Isuna 6000S is within 5ms, can replace UPS system for scenario of data centre, air conditioning, etc. In the case of grid failure or blackout situation, this system can be quickly switched to standby power mode, to provide a stable power supply for the key equipment, to give the technicians enough time to deal with the sudden power blackout situation.

 

Reliability

Compared with similar inverter from other first-tier manufacturers in the market, the biggest different design Isuna 6000S is the application of silicon carbide technology, which is advantageous in terms of smaller size, lighter weight, higher power density, longer lifespan, higher reliability, higher efficiency up to 98%.
